About Moi

नमस्ते. Hello. こんにちは. Bonjour. привет!

I am 25 years old, and an aspiring writer from Delhi, with a love for good food, travel, running and reading. I was born in Tokyo and speak 5-6 different languages (English, Marathi, Hindi, Japanese, French) and understand another 2-3 (Russian, Gujarati, Manipuri). I graduated as a computer engineer from NIT Kurukshetra in 2010, which was the scene for the famous battle in Mahabharata, a major epic of ancient India. Kurukshetra was the venue, not my college. The battle happened a long time ago.

I am a big fan of history. I think Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Sun Tzu and many other decorated generals were some of the coolest people in the world. It would be awesome to be where they all have been, and I plan to, soon. I like to read a lot, and this year, I want to read the works of Aristotle, Plutarch, Voltaire, Thoreau and Benjamin Franklin, who were all amazing people. I especially admire the thoughts of Buckminster Fuller. I browse this epic site once in a while to be inspired by amazing men and women throughout history, regardless of race or gender. The post about Nikola Tesla is especially kickass :)!

Inspiration is universal.

Other than being inspired and all fired up by history, I like exploring new places, foods and cultures.

Through life’s strange meanderings, after travelling through Japan, Russia, Mauritius, Syria, Maldives and various parts of India, I have ended up in Goa. And now I am out to discover it.

One of the simplest and most delicious meals in Goa.

Chicken Cafreal @ Florentine: One of the simplest and most delicious meals in Goa.

I have often found that in the process of the discovery of a place, you discover about yourself too.

Hope this site helps you revel in the wonder of being at awesome beaches, food, music and the lesser known charms of Goa. And plan an unforgettable trip here.
